11 weeks

Your pregnancy: 11 weeks
See the big picture
How your baby's growing:Your baby, just over 1 1/2 inches long and about the size of a fig, is now almost fully formed. Her hands will soon open and close into fists, tiny tooth buds are beginning to appear under her gums, and some of her bones are beginning to harden. She's already busy kicking and stretching, and her tiny movements are so effortless they look like water ballet. These movements will become more frequent as her body grows and becomes more developed and functional. You won't feel your baby's acrobatics for another month or two — nor will you notice the hiccupping that may be happening now that her diaphragm is forming.

My baby looks like an Owl . . .

So this is probably not the most loving thing to say but my baby looks like an owl!

Yesterday, Monday, I had my appt with my reg ob (Dr G) and she did a tummy scan. Well she, nor I, could believe how active this little bean is! We actually saw the baby moving all over the place including doing a few somersaults! It was so cute! I only wish Steve was there to see it, he had too work late since one of his guys was on vacation. If I would have been smart I would have pulled out my little Flip camera, which of course was in my purse, and videod it. Oh well there will be more to come for him to see I'm sure. We saw the heart beating and she gave me 2 pictures to take home. Everything is looking fantabulous! I was a little disappointed that I didn't get to hear the heartbeat but it is still early so hopefully next appt!

Blurry close up pic of my baby Owl!

Today, Tuesday, I had my final appt with Dr E. It was quite bittersweet. Everyone in that clinic is just so nice it will be sad not seeing them on a regular basis . . . however WOOHOO this means I have graduated! Or so to speak. Most of the regular MA's came out to give me a hug and I had to laugh when they said "I can't believe you're already leaving us" Ummmmm not quite sure what world they are living in but I've been going to that clinic for 19 months, doesn't seem that "quick" to me! It felt good to feel like I was going to be missed though.

One of the RNP's that I regularlyy saw during my IUI phase saw me in the hall and asked me what I had in my hand. I said "Oh just a picture of my baby" she gave me a BIG hug and said so that is where you have been! She was very happy for us and made me promise that I would bring baby owl back once he/she arrives.

Here is a picture of baby from today, boy am I gonna be sad to not get to see this little owl every 2 weeks like I have been! Baby was VERY active once again today, even Dr E commented saying that it wouldn't stop moving so she could get a good measure. Thrilled that baby is active but I hope that is not a sign for my future haha.
