Well today as of 1pm I will officially have an 8th grader! ACK! Seriously where have the years gone? I am very proud of Breanna for keeping the grades she has, continuing to make honor roll semester after semester, and thrive in all of her advanced honors classes. Pretty good for someone that started kindergarten when she was only four! I also must say thank god for Papa helping her with her advanced algebra - lord knows I couldn't do it! Next year she will be in geomotry as an 8th grader and I just will continue to pray that she "gets it" the way she has all of the rest. I am so so so proud of my "baby girl"!!! 8th grade . . . REALLY?
This also has made me start thinking. . . next year she will be graduating 8th grade which means I will have a 1 year old and a child in high school at the same time. This also means that due to the 13 year age difference that when Ryan is getting ready to start high school (or by the time he finishes) I technically could be a grandparent! SERIOUSLY? Guess its time to really start enforcing that "no dating til you are 30" plan with Breanna!
On another note, last Friday I went to Babies R Us to check out the stroller/carseat that Breanna had picked out. I read a few reviews about it being too big and wanted to make sure that it fit in my car. Well thank goodness I did because this indeed was the case. What a pain! 3 travel systems later I picked one out that fit. I had time to kill since I was meeting Steve for dinner and the place was pretty dead for a Friday afternoon so I decided to register. Man what a draining experience. It didn't help that for whatever reason it seemed they did not have the air on in the store and it was stuffy and hot! I pushed through and finished and we are officially registered. YIPPEE!
I have my next ultrasound on Tuesday. I'm anxious to see how much Ryan has grown in 4 weeks and to see if he is still a HE!!

20 weeks - 1/2 WAY THERE!
How your baby's growing:
Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana. (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his torso and hard to measure, measurements are taken from the top of his head to his bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, he's measured from head to toe.)
He's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system. He's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and you'll see it in his first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery).
