How your baby's growing:
Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. His weight — a pound and a half — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but he's beginning to exchange her long, lean look for some baby fat. As he does, his wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and he'll start to look more and more like a newborn. He's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture.

How your life's changing
Your baby's not the only one with more hair — your locks may look more full and lustrous than ever. It's not that you're growing more hair, but thanks to hormonal changes, the hair that you'd normally shed is sticking around longer than usual. Enjoy the fullness while you can — the extra hair will fall out after you give birth.
You may also notice that you can't move around as gracefully as before. Unless your caregiver has advised you otherwise, it's fine to continue to exercise, but follow a few safety rules: Don't work out when you're feeling overly tired and stop if you feel any pain, dizziness, or shortness of breath. Don't lie flat on your back and avoid contact sports as well as any exercise where you're apt to lose your balance. Be sure to drink plenty of water, and make time for both warm-up and cool-down periods.
When you have your glucose-screening test at 24 to 28 weeks, a second tube of blood may be taken at the same time to check for anemia. If blood tests show that you have iron-deficiency anemia (the most common type of anemia), your caregiver will probably recommend that you take an iron supplement.
**Since I did the early glucose screening I did not have to do this. They did do a CBC though and thankfully that came back "normal". I had a few levels a tad elevated but Dr. G must not be concerned since her note in the results said "normal". My next appt with her is on Monday so we will see what she says then.

Back from Yosemite and I survived!
We got back from Yosemite on Sunday and had a good time. I won't use the word "fun" for myself but I think everyone else had fun. For me, the words I'm using are "I had a good relaxing time". I was able to read some and took a good 2 hour nap one of the days. I did not leave the camp so I didn't see much. We were not in the "valley" we were at Tuolomne Meadows which is at about 8600ft elevation. For the most part the elevation did not bother me, until I had to walk down to and back from the bathroom, then I felt it a little. Overall it still was not as bad as I expected.
The weather honestly could not have been better! The only "bad" thing was all of the darn bugs and mosquito's! We all, including the horses, are pretty much covered with mosquito bites. Fun times!
Steve and the rest of the gang rode the horses both Friday and Saturday. In fact, Saturday they were probably gone for a good 7.5 hours. They got in some good riding and even some fishing.
The most "exciting" part of the trip was when we were packing up to come home. I was sitting on the picnic table while Steve was helping Loa get his trailer hitch to work and I happened to look up near our trailer, where Breanna had gone to do something, and saw a BEAR CLIMBING INTO OUR TRAILER! So I started yelling "bear um bear" "Steve there is a bear" "STEVE THERE IS A BEAR GETTING IN OUR TRAILER" Finally they heard me and him and Loa took off yelling towards the bear to try and scare it off. The bear jumped from our trailer across to a tree and climbed up it and started hissing and growling at them. Finally he got down and they chased him off. The funny part is that the whole time we were there waiting for our bear experience, they kept telling us "don't worry the horses will let you know if a bear comes into camp" HAHA YAH RIGHT the horses didn't do a darn thing!
Where was Breanna during this . . . oh she was arranging the back seat of the truck for the ride home. Luckily closed the door and was oblivious to it all! *GRRRR*
Steve mentioned next year he thinks we should go for 7 days . . . HAHA that should be fun with a 9 or so month old!

A while back, after I ordered Ryan's bedding, I decided I wanted letters painted to match the theme of his room. Of course I found someone on eBay to do this YIPPEE! Well I finally received the finished product today in the mail! They are very cute. I expected them to be bigger for some reason but they will do just fine.
