So last Saturday mom and I ventured to Babies R Us to browse the latest and greatest gadgets for Pokey. Now mind you, when I had Breanna the only place I had to choose from to register was Toys R Us which had a very limited maybe 2 isles of items. I have been to Babies R Us for plenty of baby showers for friends, however now that its "my turn" it just seems oh I don't know . . . OVERWHELMING!
I've been doing some looking online and the biggest item that has me "overwhelmed" is this whole carseat/stroller deal. Do we get a travel system? Do we go with just an infant seat and the light Snap N Go? Do I look at jogging strollers since we have not so smooth roads around the house? ACK its so much to think about.
We get to the store and thankfully nobody is there and I can look at these things without being crowded. I see this jogging travel system that is the stroller and the carseat. I get it down and take off the carseat - EASY. I then move on to collapsing the "easy 1 hand fold" and lets just say it wasn't very easy and didn't collapse very flat. So THEN I try and open it back up. Here is where it gets funny. . . mom is holding the infant seat and I'm trying to unfold this locked contraption and I am now sweating and of course she is laughing at me. Finally she asks me if I want her to go find someone to which I quickly say YES to. The poor guy comes and of course easily opens it back up. At this point I want nothing to do with this contraption!
We continue to browse this mega store to get ideas. End up back at the strollers, this time not the travel systems. Once again I get one collapsed this time fine and pretty flat, then BAM, it locks and I have no clue how to open it! I am pulling and tugging trying not to break this thing, mom is laughing and I am sweating once again not finding the humor in any of this. Then the poor guy that helped me with the jogger comes cruising around the corner and starts laughing. I look at him and said "yep I did it again, but I promise this will be the last one I touch!" He comes over and casually unclips the fricken lock on the side (DUH) and it opens up. Unbelieveable!
After that excursion it was off to Macy*s, Motherhood and then back to Chilis for a yummy lunch! Boy what a fun day! Needless to say . . . I'm still overwhelmed and am no where closer to figuring out this carseat/stroller stuff!
