Emergency Room Fun!

The last few days, since Monday, I have not been feeling "great". It is mainly in the afternoon that I have noticed it hitting me. I also noticed that I was having similar symptoms (aside from bleeding) from when my endometriosis was discovered.

Tuesday afternoon I even had a temp when I got home but luckily it broke by the morning. Wednesday I went to work, then by the time I got home I was in SEVERE pain. Pain so strong I threw up 4 times. I knew something was going on and my gut told me that either the endo was back, I had a cyst OR another kidney infection. I took a hot shower and laid back down on the bed and was still in so much pain I told Steve we needed to go to the ER, something was not right!

We left the kids with grandma (thanks mom!) and head out to Santa Teresa. We got there about 8 and the ER was PACKED!!! I thought Steve was going to die. Thank goodness they had a tv with our normal Wednesday night shows - The Middle and Modern Family. I finally got called into a room at about 9:15 and with my history the doctor seemed convinced I was probably on to something. He sent me over to have an ultrasound done and sure enough there was a cyst. HOWEVER the cyst was no longer there because it had RUPTURED! Hence the sever pain I was in. They had me on an IV with Delotted - a drug apparently stronger than morphine and eventually we got sent home. They gave me Vicodin to take for the pain and Keflex to avoid infection. The sucky thing is these are narcotics so while I am taking them I will not be able to nurse Ryan! I have to "pump and dump"! What a waste!

Anyways, I am in less pain today but still have some and some soreness. Have I mentioned Ryan is getting baptised this weekend? This should make for one interesting baptism with me being "medicated" HA!

Ryan has his 4 month checkup tomorrow, a little early since he won't be 4 months until 2/17, and I can not wait to see how much he weighs now. My guess is EASILY 14 possibly 15 lbs. My little MOOSE!!

3 months old and back to work

The time has come, oh joy! I went back to work on Tuesday and thankfully it is a short week. Unfortunately we are dealing with a HORRIBLE storm, great week for me to start driving back to San Jose again huh?

Work is ummmm lets just say interesting at the moment. My previous boss took a new position when I went out on leave and I have chosen not to follow her. This is good news!! The "bad" news is that it kind of leaves me in limbo and currently looking for a new boss. We will see what comes out of it. For now I continue to drive in in this horrible weather and sit around looking for jobs and reaching out to others to see if they know of anything. Fun times right?

Ryan is now going to daycare and doing wonderful! He is being taken care of by Miss Karie who happens to be our friend Sal's girlfriends mom . . . did you follow that? Sal is also going to be Ryan's godfather so this is somewhat "in the family". She has a few other little girls that she watches. When I went to pick Ryan up on Wednesday Miss Karie was changing his diaper and one of the little girls looked up at me and innocently said "How come he has a tail?" SO INNOCENT AND SO CUTE!! Of course I wanted to die laughing but did not want to embarass her so I just responded "Well because he is a boy" SO SO CUTE!

I took Ryan 2 weeks ago to have his 3 month pictures done at Sears. Of course they did not come out as great as the newborn ones my friend Leandra took but they still came out pretty cute. Of course since Steve got me my "fancy" new camera for my birthday he doesn't understand why I can't take them myself. Clearly he still doesn't realize who he is married to haha. Anyways, I picked up the pictures yesterday . . . hope you enjoy!!!

Honor Roll and Student of the Month!

Yep she did it again! Breanna made honor roll and received Student of the Month. Ryan, Grandma and I all went to her assembly last Friday. This time she was not embarrassed of me and Grandma being there, although I'm pretty sure it was because she was excited to show off her baby brother, dressed in his cute jeans, flannel shirt and vans, specifically picked out by Sissy that morning.

Her teacher, Mrs. Nehme, said some wonderful things about her. How she comes to class every day with a smile on her face, has great penmenship, etc etc etc. I had to stop and think if she was talking about the same grumpy girl I dropped off every morning but sure enough she called her name.

Unfortunately I do not have any pictures to post because I had borrowed Breanna's camera since it is smaller than mine and I have not gotten her to download them yet.

Tomorrow is my first day back at the office. Should be an interesting day since I am not quite sure yet where to report. My boss took on a new role so I am kind of in limbo at the moment. Still not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. If you recall from previous posts I did not have a very understanding boss and she informed me that with her new role I would be required to work 6 days a week. Clearly something I was NOT willing to do, especially with a family and for the same pay.

With that said . . . wish me luck my friends, I'm gonna need it!

Chase's Winter ONE-derland Party

Yesterday Ryan went to his first, of many to come, birthday party!

It seems like just yesterday that I was visiting my friend Courtney in the hospital, for probably her last time, to see her brand new baby Chase. Fast forward 52 weeks and baby Chase turned 1! Courtney and Dan had a Winter ONE-derland Party for him and it was so cute! Complete with Hot Chocolate bar (with candy canes to stir . . . yummy) and Sugar Cookie and Snowman picture frame decorating tables, perfect theme for a January birthday party, especially when you turn one.

As soon as we got there Kendall and Brady wanted to hold Baby Ryan. Here is a picture of them:

And a few more including one with the birthday boy and his GIANT cupcake his mommy made him!

How did I get so lucky?

Every once in a while it hits me and I have to stop and think . . . how did I get so lucky??? I have a wonderful husband (even if he still hasn't changed a diaper), a gorgeous daughter, adorable new son, great parents and family, my health, a beautiful home . . . really it can not get much better!

I took this picture of Breanna and Ryan today and it hit me again . . . I am one lucky girl!!!!
